We improve the prevention of occupational injuries and diseases by correcting all those unsafe conditions that may put into risk our workers.

CONSOLIDATE A PREVENTIVE CULTURE OF OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY.

We focus on strengthening positive values, practices and attitudes, continuously training our employees to generate the commitment to perform safe work and that they themselves promote preventive practices inside and outside our operations.

IDENTIFY AND CONTROL EFFECTIVELY OUR CRITICAL RISKS.

We implement various programs for controlling critical risks that reduce the probability of injuries, assigning people responsible for monitoring and verification.

The management of Occupational Health and Safety in the Mining Division involves all levels of the organization, from the Board of Directors to the Operating Units:

 

Board of Directors supervises and audits performance, policies, progress on corporate goals as well as the implementation of management standards.

 

Sustainable Development Committee meets every quarter – reviews the strategy, performance and the main projects for risk mitigation.  It also makes recommendations to the Board of Directors.

 

Corporate Directorate of Sustainable Development should define the vision, strategy and main performance indicators to monitor the efficient management of the issue and promote continuous improvement.  Likewise, it continuously evaluates the performance of operations in occupational health and safety.

 

Occupational Health and Safety Directorate is in charge of implementing compliance, development, education and training efforts on health and safety policies in all business units.
